Nuovo Cinema Italiano Film Festival Preview Party 2022 in Images

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Preview Party for the 16th edition of the Nuovo Cinema Italiano Film Festival on October 14 at the historic Randolph Hall!

It was a pleasure to listen to the beautiful voices of soprano Vittoria Miranda and baritone Nathan Matticks (a College of Charleston alumnus), paired with the music of pianist Misha Pekar as they performed three songs from Mario Martone’s “The King of Laughter.”

Here you can see the musicians and festival director Giovanna De Luca, along with some action shots of the night. We were also delighted to be able to welcome Stefano Paris (the Cultural Event Coordinator of Dante Alighieri) who gave a fascinating presentation on the island of Procida, which was designated the 2022 Capital of Culture by the Italian Ministry of Culture and acts as a main setting in Tommy Weber’s film “Come Prima”.

Both “The King of Laughter” and “Come Prima” will be showing at the Nuovo Cinema Italiano Film Festival.
