Director - L’ombra del giorno
Giuseppe Piccioni has directed 11 films since 1987. He has participated in numerous film festivals (Venice, Berlin, Moscow, Montreal, London, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco). An award winner in Italy and abroad, he has worked with the most important Italian actors.
He has won numerous awards, including the De Sica Award for Young Italian Cinema, the Silver Hugo Award from The Chicago International Film Festival, The Best Film Award as well as The Audience Prize at the AFI International Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Grand Jury Prize at the Montreal Film Festival, and was nominated to represent Italy at the 72nd Academy Awards for his film, Fuori dal mondo (Not of This World).
He was one of the founders of the Libreria del Cinema of Rome (2004-2014) and began to collaborate as a director, screenwriter and film acting teacher at the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts.
