Alfredo Cossu

Actor - La salita

Alfredo Cossu

Alfredo Francesco Cossu was born in Naples May 15, 2002, into a family of Sardinian origin.

From childhood he was part of the theatre world, which helped him determine his professional path. He competed in water polo, playing up to Serie A2, then trained in Naples at Antonio Milo’s Actors Lab, going on to refine his craft with Flavia Mancinelli in Rome.

His career in the theatre began with productions of Il Padrone and Uno Contro Zero, both directed by Rosario Giglio. In 2020 he appeared in the musical Fatti Santo, directed by Giada Caliendo.

In 2024 he appeared on television in the third season of the successful RAI series Il Commissario Ricciardi. La Salita marks his film debut.

He holds a degree in archaeology, art history and cultural heritage sciences, with a specialization in film, music and performing arts. He wrote his thesis on Marlon Brando and the Strasberg Method.

Between jobs, he swims. “The smell of chlorine has the same effect on me as the smell of the stage dust,” he says.
