The Castelvecchio are a family of eccentrics, they have an open mind, but they are narcissistic and disunited. The Petagna’s are the opposite: very close-knit people, from a humbler social background, with traditional but conservative values. Why do these two families, so different from each other, find themselves spending their summer holidays together?

Only the heads of the families, Tony and Carlo know: the unexpected announcement of their love will disrupt the balance of the two families, but especially those of Penelope and Sandro, their respective firstborn children.
